NORTH MYTLE BEACH, S.C.- The Immaculata softball team opened its 2026 season, earning a split in its first two games of the Fast Pitch Dreams Spring Classic in Myrtle Beach. Immaculata fell to Keystone 10-1 in five innings in their first game and bounced back to earn a 2-1 win over New Jersey City University in their second game.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST KEYSTONE
- Keystone (1–2) plated eight runs in the top of the second inning to take control early in the contest.
- Keystone added a pair of runs in the fourth inning to increase their lead to 10-0.
- In the fifth, Naila Valdez reached on a walk and used her speed on the basepaths to spark the Mighty Macs. Valdez stole both second and third before scoring on a Keystone throwing error to put Immaculata on the board.
- Keystone went on to close out the win 10-1.

- Sara Pierson took the loss for Immaculata, pitching 1.2 innings, allowing five hits, eight runs (0 earned).
- Nadia Bhuiyan pitched 3.2 innings in relief, allowing 3 hits, two earned runs, and struck out five.
- Naila Valdez scored the lone run for Immaculata, drawing a walk, and had two stolen bases.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST NJCU
- New Jersey City (0–5) opened the scoring in the top of the first inning, scoring on a wild pitch to take a 1-0 lead.
- The Mighty Macs responded in the bottom of the third. Emma Pinto started the rally with a single before Emily Davis reached a fielder's choice and Madison Formica worked a walk to put two runners on. Jamie Green then delivered the key swing of the game, lining a two-run double to left field to bring home Davis and Formica and give Immaculata a 2–1 advantage.
- NJCU threatened in the fifth inning with a runner reaching third base, but Nadia Bhuiyan worked her way out of the jam, inducing a groundout to second base.
- Bhuiyan would set the Knights down in order in the sixth and closed out the game in the seventh with a fielder's choice and a lineout to give the Mighty Macs a 2-1 win.

- Nadia Bhuiyan earned the complete game win, allowing just one run on six hits while issuing one walk and inducing 10 ground-ball outs.
- Jamie Green led the Immaculata offense, finishing 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs.
- Naila Valdez, Carlee Karcher, and Emma Pinto added hits for Immaculata.
- Immaculata committed no errors in the field.
