Men's Lacrosse Falls in Double Overtime Thriller to Marymount, 7-6

IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata men's lacrosse team staged a dramatic late comeback, but ultimately fell to Marymount, 7–6, in double overtime at Draper Walsh.

Trailing by two goals early, the Mighty Macs battled back throughout the contest. The biggest moment came in the final seconds of regulation, when Jason Smaron scored with just 0:19 remaining to tie the game at 6–6 and force overtime.

The teams went scoreless in the first overtime period, and the deadlock continued deep into the second extra frame. Marymount finally broke through with 2:40 remaining to secure the victory.

Despite the loss, goalkeeper Matthew Ludlow delivered a historic performance. He recorded 18 saves and 11 ground balls, and in the process set a new program record for career saves with 865, surpassing Andrew Sim's previous mark of 854 (2007–10).

With the result, Immaculata drops to 8–4 overall and 0–1 in Atlantic East Conference play, while Marymount improves to 4–7 and 1–0 in conference action.
