LANCASTER, Pa. – Immaculata men's volleyball fell 3-0 on Saturday against the Lancaster Bible College Chargers.
The Mighty Macs are 5-6 for the season. They are 4-1 in conference play.
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST LANCASTER BIBLE
- Immaculata gained an early lead via a few Lancaster Bible errors. The Chargers climbed their way back in the set, but both sides kept close to one another. Despite Immaculata only being down by two, a 10-1 Lancaster Bible run allowed them to pull away. Brandon Lieberman recorded a kill late in the set, but Lancaster Bible took the first frame 25-12.
- The Chargers used a 7-1 start to take momentum in set two. A Noah Zunski kill began a double sequence of a Mighty Macs point, followed by a Chargers point. Zunski halted a 5-0 Lancaster Bible push before the home team won set two 25-7.
- The Mighty Macs had an early advantage in the final set prior to a Lancaster Bible outburst. Christian Lee and Nate Bailey logged kills in the middle of the set. Even with a Chargers service error at the end, the home team took set three 25-12. Lancaster Bible won the match 3-0.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Zunski led the Mighty Macs with two kills.
- Luke Dortenzo had four assists. He tied Bailey with four digs each.
- Immaculata and Lancaster Bible logged three blocks apiece.
