IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Immaculata University women's basketball team never trailed Tuesday night, using a dominant opening quarter and balanced scoring to defeat Saint Elizabeth University, 81–47, in Atlantic East Conference action at Alumnae Hall on National Girls and Women in Sports Day.
Three Mighty Macs scored in double figures, led by
Carly Coleman, who posted 20 points and a game-high 11 rebounds for her 13th double-double of the season.
Abby Grillo matched Coleman with 20 points on an efficient 8-of-11 shooting performance, including four three-pointers, while
Meg Robbins added 14 points—tying her career high—and three blocks.
Olivia Ettorre contributed eight points and six assists.
With the win, Immaculata improves to 17-3 overall and remains undefeated in Atlantic East Conference play at 9-0. Saint Elizabeth falls to 9-11 overall and 3-6 in conference action.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST SAINT ELIZABETH
- Immaculata set the tone early, opening the game on a 6–0 run and shooting an impressive 13-of-18 (72.2%) from the field in the opening 10 minutes. Coleman scored six early points, while Grillo knocked down two three-pointers to help the Mighty Macs build a 29–19 lead. Saint Elizabeth stayed within striking distance behind three early triples, but Immaculata's efficiency and ball movement proved decisive.
- The Mighty Macs continued to extend their lead, outscoring Saint Elizabeth 18–11. Immaculata forced key turnovers that led to fast-break opportunities and controlled the paint on both ends, taking a 47–30 advantage into halftime.
- Immaculata delivered its strongest stretch of the game after the break, opening the half on a 9–2 run and holding Saint Elizabeth to just 12 points in the quarter. The Mighty Macs shot 57.9 percent from the field, pushing the lead to 72–42 heading into the final period.
- With a comfortable lead, Immaculata relied on its depth as multiple players saw extended minutes. The Mighty Macs maintained defensive intensity and closed the game with a 9–5 edge in the quarter to secure the 81–47 victory.
