WHAT TO KNOW

• The Immaculata University women's volleyball team (4-13) returns to action Thursday evening when the Mighty Macs travel to Penn State Brandywine for a 7 p.m. non-conference matchup.
• The contest marks Immaculata's second consecutive road match and the second of two Penn State opponents on the Mighty Macs' schedule this week.
• Immaculata enters Thursday's contest riding the momentum of a convincing 3-0 sweep at Penn State Schuylkill on Tuesday evening. The Mighty Macs posted set victories of 25-19, 26-24, and 25-9.
• Penn State Brandywine enters the match 8-6 overall and 3-1 in United East Conference play. The Lions suffered their first UEC loss on Tuesday evening when they fell at Cairn 3-1.

 
SERIES HISTORY

• Thursday's match will mark the fifth meeting between Immaculata and Penn State Brandywine in a series that began in 2022.
• Immaculata has won the previous four meetings.

• Madi Kyle leads Immaculata with 151 kills this season and has emerged as one of the Mighty Macs' primary offensive weapons. Kyle earned Atlantic East Conference Player of the Week honors earlier this week after a strong recent stretch.
• Mel Mann enters Thursday's match following a team-best 10-kill performance against Penn State Schuylkill. Mann hit an impressive .529 in the victory and added 12.5 points with one solo block and three block assists.
• Adriana Ventura continues to anchor the Mighty Macs defensively. The sophomore libero leads Immaculata with 232 digs and is averaging nearly four digs per set. Ventura was also named to the AEC Weekly Honor Roll this week.
• Angelica Santini Bulerin has directed the Mighty Macs' offense with 235 assists this season, while Tara Hirschtritt has added 150 assists.
• Eliana Szatkowski and Antonia Antolini have provided a strong presence on the net, combining for 71 total blocks.
• Immaculata has now won two of its last three matches, earning victories over Keystone and Penn State Schuylkill.

 
SCOUTING PENN STATE BRANDYWINE

• Penn State Brandywine has established itself as one of the top teams in the United East standings, opening conference play with a 3-1 record.
• Brandywine's offense features several players capable of producing points. Hailey Piccirillo recorded six kills and three blocks in their win against PSU -Berks on Saturday.
• Emma O'Reilly and Lara Zima each added seven kills. Zima also directed the offense with 14 assists and contributed 16 digs, while Shayla Howell recorded five service aces against PSU Berks.
• Lara Zima has 209 assists, and Shayla Howell has 196 assists for the Lions.
• Emma O'Reilly leads the team with 130 digs.
• Penn State Brandywine is 5-1 at home this season.
