WHAT TO KNOW
  • The Immaculata University women's volleyball team (3-13) returns to action Tuesday evening when the Mighty Macs travel to Penn State Schuylkill for a 6 p.m. non-conference matchup.
  • Immaculata enters Tuesday's contest after falling to Bryn Mawr College, 3-0, on Wednesday evening. The Mighty Macs earned a 3-1 victory over Keystone College the night before.
  • Penn State Schuylkill (13-8, 11-5 PSUAC) enters Tuesday's match after earning a conference tri-match sweep over Penn State Mont Alto (3-0) and Penn State Lehigh (3-0) on Sunday.
  • Tuesday marks Immaculata's second consecutive road match and the first of two meetings with Penn State opponents this week. The Mighty Macs will travel to Penn State Brandywine on Thursday evening.
 
SERIES HISTORY
  • Tuesday's match will mark the third all-time meeting between Immaculata and Penn State Schuylkill.
  • Immaculata has won each of the first two meetings in the series, including a 3-0 victory in the teams' most recent matchup last season.

MIGHTY MAC NOTES
  • First year outside hitter Madi Kyle leads the Mighty Macs offensively with 141 kills on the season and has emerged as one of Immaculata's primary attacking options. Kyle has recorded double-digit kills in multiple matches this season, including a team-high 14 kills in Immaculata's 3-1 victory over Keystone.
  • Kyle was named the Atlantic East Conference Player of the Week on Monday afternoon, earning the first conference weekly award of her collegiate career.
  • Sophomore libero Adriana Ventura continues to anchor the Mighty Macs' back row. Ventura leads Immaculata with 219 digs and is averaging nearly four digs per set this season.
  • Ventura was once again named to the Atlantic East Conference Weekly Honor Roll on Monday afternoon, marking her second consecutive week receiving weekly recognition from the conference and her fourth selection of the year.
  • Setter Angelica Santini Bulerin has directed the Immaculata offense with 320 assists, while Tara Hirschtritt has added 240 assists.
  • Middle hitters Eliana Szatkowski and Antonia Antolini have provided a strong presence at the net, combining for more than 150 total points and 100 blocks this season.
  • Mel Mann has provided additional offensive production for the Mighty Macs, while Lauren Gartman and Cianni Baez have contributed defensively in the back row.
 
SCOUTING PENN STATE SCHUYLKILL
  • Penn State Schuylkill will look to several key offensive weapons, including Zoë Roman, who recorded 14 kills in the Nittany Lions' five-set match against Penn State Berks earlier this season.
  • Adalaine Dusel also provides an important offensive presence and recorded 11 kills, five service aces and 18 digs in that same match.
  • Setter Brooklynn Sheridan directed the Nittany Lions' offense with 39 assists against Penn State Berks while also adding 11 digs and four service aces.
  • Amanda Burns provides a strong presence at the net after recording five blocks and nine kills in the five-set matchup with Penn State Berks.
  • Defensively, Kinley Harris has provided consistent production in the back row, recording 11 digs against Penn State Berks.
