ARLINGTON, Va. — The Immaculata University women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to Marymount University on Wednesday evening in Atlantic East Conference action at Long Bridge Park.
Immaculata falls to 6-4-0 overall and 1-1-0 in Atlantic East play, while Marymount improves to 6-5-1 overall and 2-0-0 in conference action.
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST MARYMOUNT
- Marymount's Eleanor Keough provided all three goals for the Saints, scoring three times during 17 minutes in the opening half, giving the Saints a 3-0 advantage at halftime.
- Immaculata generated six shots in the opening half, including a pair of shots on goal from Addison Yackel. Yackel tested Marymount goalkeeper Mara Dufour twice during the opening 45 minutes, while Sam Terry also hit the crossbar in the 22nd minute.
- The Mighty Macs continued to battle in the second half, matching Marymount with four shots while holding the Saints to six. Sophia Mazzotta and Flora Hernandez each recorded a shot on goal in the second half, but Dufour turned aside both attempts.
- Addi Husenica provided a strong second-half performance in goal for Immaculata, making two saves while keeping Marymount off the scoreboard over the final 45 minutes. Devan Cosgrove made two saves in the opening half.
- Immaculata finished the evening with 10 shots, including four on goal, while Marymount recorded 12 shots with seven on target. The Mighty Macs earned four corner kicks compared to eight for the Saints.
