Men's Basketball Stifled by Marymount Saints

ARLINGTON, Va. – Immaculata men's basketball fell to the Marymount University Saints on Wednesday night, 96-62, in Atlantic East Conference action.

The Mighty Macs are 2-14 for the season. They are 1-4 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST MARYMOUNT
  • The Mighty Macs kept pace with the Saints early on, grabbing an 11-7 lead on a 7-0 run. Marymount countered with nine straight points to go back up five. Immaculata slowly aimed to trim the deficit with buckets in the paint and three Christian Chambers free throws. However, a 19-2 home team outburst gave them a 52-27 advantage going into the locker room.
  • Marymount saw a few layups to begin the second half, but a Mandon Seapoe layup stopped the quick run. Jeremiah Alexander chipped in seven consecutive points for Immaculata. Alexander would score 11 of his 14 points in the second half. Although the Mighty Macs hit three straight triples to cut into the deficit, courtesy of Jalen Flowers, Marquis Peoples Jr., and Kevin Telesford, the lead was simply too much to overcome. Marymount took a 96-62 victory.
