IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata Women's Soccer team defeated Cedar Crest 3-0 in their home opener at Draper Walsh Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Brooke Kakowski scored for the Mighty Macs, to give Head Coach
Seamus O'Connor his first win as Immaculata Women's Head Coach.

With the win, Immaculata improves to 1-0-0 overall, while Cedar Crest falls to 0-3 overall this season. The game was delayed for 40 minutes at halftime due to weather.

HOW IT HAPPENED VS CEDAR CREST
- Addison Yackel opened the scoring in the 31st minute heading in a corner kick served by Sam Terry for her first goal of the season to put Immaculata up 1-0.
- Immaculata extended their lead to 2-0 in the 35th minute, when Sam Terry sent a free kick into the box that was played by Gracie Repici off her chest to Addison Yackel who knocked it into the net with her right foot for her second goal of the game.
- Immaculata carried a 2-0 lead into the halftime break, which was extended by a weather delay.
- In the seventy-sixth minute, Gracie Repici beat her defender wide and served a cross into the box to Brooke Kakowski who shot it past the keeper for her first goal of the season extend Immaculata's lead to 3-0.
- Immaculata went on to close out the 3-0 win.

- Addison Yackel scored the second and third goals of her Immaculata career and had her first multiple goal game.
- Gracie Repici had two assists in today's game.
- Brooke Kakowski scored her first collegiate goal in today's game.
- Sam Terry continues to be the top set piece taker for Immaculata with a pair of goals resulting from her set pieces. Terry's assist at the beginning of the match was the fifth assist in her time with Immaculata off a corner kick. The second one of the day was her sixth career dime.
- Goalkeeper Emily Guthier made two saves in her 83 minutes in the net. Guthier and Addi Husenica combined for the shutout.
- The Immaculata backline limited the Falcons to five shots, with only two on goal.
