Women's Soccer Drops Non-Conference Game to Widener, 3-0

IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata women's soccer team fell 3-0 to Widener on Thursday night in a non-conference matchup at Draper Walsh Stadium. With the loss Immaculata falls to 1-3-1, while Widener improves to 4-2.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED VS WIDENER
  • Widener opened the scoring in the second minute with a goal by Cecilia Deroian to take an early 1-0.
  • Widener continued to press, and Emily Guthier made a pair of saves to keep the score at 1-0.
  • Widener extended their lead in the 24th minute on a goal by Abby Picollo to take a 2-0 lead.
  • Widener added a third goal in the 29th minute by Mia Garofalo and carried a 3-0 lead into the halftime break.
  • Immaculata generated a scoring chance in the 58th minute, when Gracie Repici had her shot stopped by the Widener goalkeeper.
  • Lily McGee had Immaculata best scoring chance in the 58th minute but her shot was saved by the Widener keeper.
