Men's Lacrosse Falls to Susquehanna in Non-Conference Match-Up

IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata men's lacrosse team fell to Susquehanna 19-8 at Draper Walsh Stadium on Wednesday. Bailey Manion scored three goals and had one assist, and David Azzarano had three assists for Immaculata. With the loss, snaps Immaculata's three game win streak and they fall to 3-2 overall. With the win Susquehanna improves to 5-0 overall. 

Scoring 

-Six different Mighty Macs scored goals today led by Bailey Manion with three goals, followed by Ben Wesolowski, Joseph Biuso, Ryan Gorman, Nicholas DeFilippo, and Connor Teears with one goal each. 

-David Azzarano led Immaculata with three assists, followed by Bailey Manion, Ben Wesolowski, and Jason Smaron with one assist each. 

Defensive 

-Max Cummings had 13 saves, Matthew Ludlow had four saves.  

-David Azzarano had three caused turnovers, followed by Bradley Mead, Seth Panowitz, Colton Rhoades, Joseph Biuso, Daniel Alvarez, and Jacob Rhoads with one each. 

-David Azzarano, Bradley Mead, Seth Panowitz, Connor Teears, and Max Cummings all had four ground balls. Followed by Colton Rhoades, and Aidan Lawrence with three ground balls. Bailey Manion, Nicholas DeFilippo, and Gael Avalos each had two ground balls. Joseph Biuso, Daniel Alvarez, Jacob Rhoads, Jason Smaron, Ryan Gorman, Joseph Santilli, and Jake Klosinski with one ground ball each. 

How it Happened 

  • Susquehanna scored the game's first two goals taking a 2-0 lead with 12:00 remaining in the quarter. Immaculata got on the board with 10:39 remaining when Josph Biuso scored off an assist from David Azzarano. Ryan Gorman scored for Immaculata with 7:02 remaining in the quarter. Susquehanna led 8-2 after the first quarter. 

  • In the second quarter, Connor Teears scored an unassisted goal with 11:25 remaining in the quarter. Bailey Manion scored for Immaculata off an assist from David Azzarano as Immaculata would trail 11-4 at halftime.  

  • Susquehanna scored the only five goals of the third quarter as the River Hawks would carry a 17-5 advantage into the fourth quarter.
