Men's Lacrosse Falls at Moravian on Saturday

BETHLEHEM, Pa.- The Immaculata men's lacrosse team fell to Moravian 17-6 on the road on Saturday afternoon. Moravian opened an early 4-0, before Immaculata scored consecutive goals separated by 1:21 to cut the Greyhounds lead to 4-2. Moravian would use a nine-goal run to help pull away from Immaculata on their way to winning 17-6.
 
With the loss Immaculata falls to 3-3 overall. With the win Moravian improves to 3-2 overall.
 
Scoring
-Ryan Gorman scored three goals, David Azzarano scored two goals, and Bailey Manion scored one goal.
-David Azzarano had two assists, and Ben Wesolowski had one assist.

  • Moravian scored four goals early to take a 4-0 lead.
  • David Azzarano got Immaculata on the board with an unassisted goal with 5:35 remaining in the first quarter. Baily Manion followed with a goal assisted by Azzarano 1:21 later as Immaculata closed the lead to 4-2.
  • Moravian would take control of the game with a nine-goal run to take a 13-2 lead with 12:18 remaining in the third quarter.
  • Ryan Gorman broke the Greyhounds run with an unassisted goal with 8:39 remaining in the third quarter. Gorman would follow up with a man up goal assisted by David Azzarano with 4:36 remaining, and another unassisted goal with 0:29 remaining in the quarter to make the score 15-5 Moravian.
  • David Azzarano scored the Mighty Macs final goal of the game, a man up goal in the fourth quarter assisted by Ben Weslowski.
