CHESTER, Pa.- The Immaculata men's volleyball team fell in both games of their tri-match on Saturday at Widener University. Immaculata fell to Hood College 3-0 in their first match and fell to the host Widener 3-0 in their second match. Fifth year setter
Joe Martell broke his own IU program record for assists in a single season with his 463
rd assist of the season in the match vs Widener. Martel now has 478 assists this season, and has a program best 1,935 career assists.

Immaculata falls to 6-10 overall on the season. Hood improved to 5-21 overall and 0-7 in Middle Atlantic Conference play, and Widener improved to 15-12, and 2-5 Middle Atlantic Conference play.

How it Happened
- Set 1- Immaculata took a quick 2-0 lead on a kill by Jordan Brown. Hood would used a pair of four-point runs to take a 14-12 lead. Immaculata took a 18-17 lead on a kill by Nate Bailey. With the score tied at 23-23, Immaculata committed a service error to give Hood a set point, which they used to close out the first set 25-23.
- Set 2- With Immaculata trailing 13-10, Immaculata got a side out on a kill by Jordan Brown. Ethan Ngo served three straight points that included two service aces, and a kill by Joe Martell to take a 14-13 lead. Hood would win six out of the final eight points of the set to win set two 25-22.
- Set 3- Immaculata opened set three with kills from Josh McGurl and Nate Bailey to take the early 2-0 lead. Hood responded with a five-point run to take a 5-2 lead. Trailing 14-10, served three straight points which included a pair of kills from Noah Zunski to close the lead to 14-13. Hood would go on to take set three 25-20, and the match 3-0.

- Set 1- Immaculata took an early 4-1 lead in set one with a kill from Nate Bailey and a service ace from Josh McGurl. With Immaculata holding an 8-7 lead, Widener won five straight points to take a 12-8 lead. Joe Martell served a pair of points to cut the Widener lead to 21-19. Widener would hold on to take set one 25-23.
- Set 2- In set two Widener used a 10-2 run to take a commanding 18-6 lead in the set. Christian Lee had a service ace and a kill to help Immaculata score three straight points. Widener would go on to take set two 25-13.
- Set 3- Immaculata got kills from Josh McGurl and Nate Bailey and a point on a block by Josh McGurl as Immaculata took an early 5-2 lead. Nate Bailey got a kill to give Immaculata an 11-10 lead. Trailing 18-17, Immaculata got a pair of kills by Nate Bailey to take a 19-18 lead. After Widener jumped ahead, another kill by Nate Bailey gave Immaculata a 21-20 lead. Widener would score the final five points of the match to take set three 25-21, and the match 3-0.
