WEST CHESTER, Pa.- On Saturday, March 22nd, the Immaculata Women's Track and Field team visited DII West Chester University to open their outdoor season. The Women's team finished ninth overall in the composite meet rankings. The meet marked a great start to the spring season with a number of personal best times and records broken. The Mighty Macs look ahead to Widener next weekend for the Dan Curran Invite.
Track Events
- In the 100m dash Kimberly Alvarez placed 20th with a time of 14.40 secs coming in right behind her was Ella Bonaventure who placed 35th with a time of 17.08 seconds.
- Jillian Humphries and Ella Bonaventure took on the 200 m dash. Humphries placing 46th with a time of 31.18 seconds and Bonaventure placing 61st with a time of 35.10 seconds
- Mary Steinbicker placed 3rd in the 400m leading with a time of 1:03.04. Shannon Barycki was not far behind, placing 26th with a time of 1:13.95.
- In the women's 800m Mary Steinbicker and Jayla Gross made top ten finishers…Steinbicker placing 4th with a time of 2:30.12 and Gross placing 8th with a time of 2:35.56
- Emily McGonigle placed 34th with a time of 7:37.19 in the women's 1500m.
- Aubrey Donahue and Breanne Dymek both raced in the women's 5000m. Donahue placed 2nd with a IU program record time of 19:08.43. Dymek placed 12th with a time of 22:53.64.
- Immaculata's A team for the women's 4 x 400m relay placed 5th with a time of 4:42.23.
Field Events
- In the Shot Put, Julianne Fredrick placed 30th, throwing 7.80 meters. Maggie Friend placed 39th, throwing 6.82 meters.Â
- Maggie Friend placed 22nd in discus throwing 25.00m and placed 13th in javelin throwing 25.15m.
- Jillian Humphries placed sixth in the High Jump, clearing 1.42 meters.

The Mighty Macs Track and Field teams head to Chester, PA for the Dan Curran Invitational on Friday, March 28th and Saturday, March 29th.
