IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata women's tennis opened Atlantic East Conference play on Saturday when they host Marywood University at the IU Tennis Courts falling 5-2. With the loss Immaculata is now 1-4 overall and are 0-1 in Atlantic East Conference play. With the win Marywood is now 4-7 overall and are 1-0 in Atlantic East Conference play.  

In doubles action, the first doubles team of Pamela Kontaras and Delaney Brown lost their match 4-6. The second doubles team of Hailey Elwell and Sophia Carey lost their match 3-6, and the third doubles team of Audrey Keen and Laura Pharo lost their match 2-6. Marywood would lead 1-0 after the doubles matches. 

In singles action, Pamela Kontaras won the first singles match 3-6, 6-2, 6-4. Delaney Brown lost the second singles match 2-6, 1-6. Sophia Carey won the third singles match in straight sets 6-2, 6-3. Hailey Elwell lost the fourth singles match 4-6, 5-7. Audrey Keen lost the fifth singles match 2-6, 1-6. Laura Pharo lost the sixth singles match 1-6, 0-6. 

Marywood won the match 5-2.
