Women's Flag Football Falls to Centenary and Marymount in AEC Tri-Match

ARLINGTON, Va.- The Immaculata Flag Football team dropped both games in the Atlantic East Conference Tri-Match on Saturday at Marymount. Immaculata fell to Centenary 12-6 in their first game and fell to Marymount 27-0 in their second game. Caia Harris scored the lone touchdown for Immaculata on a five-yard reception from Sydney Butcher. Immaculata falls to 1-5 in Atlantic East Conference play. Centenary improves to 4-2 in Atlantic East Conference play, and Marymount is now 4-0 in Atlantic East Conference play.

Centenary 12, Immaculata 6

The game remained scoreless until the second quarter of play. Centenary scored in the second quarter converting a fourth and goal from the 17-yard line on a pass for a touchdown to take a 6-0 lead. The point after run attempt was stopped by Immaculata, so Centenary led 6—0.

Centenary would extend their lead in the third quarter scoring on a seven-yard run to make the score 12-0. Immaculata stopped the point after rush attempt.

Immaculata got on the board late in the third quarter. Caia Harris had a 12-yard rush attempt to get the ball down to the five-yard line. Caia Harris caught a pass from Sydney Butcher for touchdown to close the score to 12-6.
Centenary was able to hold on for the 12-6 win.

Offensively for Immaculata Sydney Butcher was 5-11 passing for 84 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. Natalie Dodd was 3-6 passing for 21 yards and had two interceptions. Lauren Gartman was 1-1 passing for 10 yards.

Sydney Butcher had five rushes for 36 yards. Natalie Dodd had one rush for eight yards, Caia Harris had five rushes for six yards, and Ella Bonaventure had one rush for three yards.

Abigail Lentowski had two receptions for 37 yards. Natalie Dodd had one reception for 32 yards. Ashanti Leon had two receptions for 21 yards. Caia Harris had two receptions for 11 yards and a touchdown. Eliana Szatkowski had one reception for 10 yards, and Samantha Seidito had one reception for four yards.

Defensively, Samantha Seidito had six tackles. Abigail Lentowski had five tackles and two pass breakups. Jessica Elliott had three tackles, Lauren Gartman and Eliana Szatkowski each had two tackles. Tiara Lawler had one tackle and an interception. Natalie Dodd, Theresa Jappah, Caia Harris, and Sarah Dougherty each had one tackle.

Abigail Lentowski had one punt for 11 yards.

Marymount 27, Immaculata 0

Immaculata got the first possession of the game. Immaculata converted a third down when Sydney Butcher hit Abigail Lentowski with a 10-yard reception for a first down. Butcher then completed a pass to Eliana Szatkowski for 31 yards for another first down at the Marymount 25 yard-line. Butcher completed a pass to Tiara Lawler for 14 yards for another first down. Immaculata was unable to score turning the ball over on downs when Natalie Dodd was stopped short of the goal line on fourth and goal on a reception.

Marymount would take the ball down and score a touchdown on their first possession on 59-yard touchdown reception to take the 7-0 lead.

Marymount would extend the lead to 13-0 early in the second quarter on six-yard touchdown reception. Immaculata would stop the point after rush attempt.

Marymount would add on to their lead with another touchdown late in the second quarter to take a 20-0 lead into halftime.

Marymount would close out the scoring in the fourth quarter with another touchdown to close out the win 27-0.

Offensively, Sydney Butcher was 7-10 passing for 77 yards. Butcher had five rushes for nine yards. Samantha Seidito had four rushes for six yards.

Eliana Szatkowski had one reception for 31 yards. Abigail Lentowski had two receptions for 19 yards. Tiara Lawler had one reception for 14 yards, and Ashanti Leon had two receptions for 14 yards.

Defensively, Eliana Szatkowski had five tackles, Samantha Seidito and Jessica Elliott each had three tackles, Rory Watson had two tackles, and a pass break up, and Tiara Lawler and Abigail Lentowski each had one tackle.

Samantha Seidito had four punts for 112 yards, averaging 28 yards per punt, with a long of 37 yards, and pinned one inside the 20.
