WILKES-BARRE, Pa.- The Immaculata men's lacrosse team earned a comfortable win over King's College on Saturday, defeating the Monarchs 21-2. The Mighty Macs took a sizable lead early, outscoring King's 8-1 in the opening quarter. Immaculata improves to 5-5 with their second consecutive win with two games remaining before Atlantic East Conference play opens against Neumann at home in one week's time. The Mighty Macs are set to play a rescheduled game against Rosemont on Monday and meet Albright on the road on Wednesday.
 
Scoring
-Joseph Biuso and Bailey Manion netted four goals and one assist apiece, as Ryan Gorman matched their five point output with three goals and two helpers.
-David Azzarano led the Macs with three assists and scored one goal.
-Connor Teears had two goals and an assist as Robbie Wishart found the back of the net twice.
-Jason Smaron, Evan Petrecz, Ben Wesolowski, Matthew Frame, and Jude Azzarano rounded out the IU goalscorers.
 
Defensive
-Jason Smaron was disruptive from Immaculata's front line, forcing two caused turnovers and digging six ground balls.
-Nicholas DeFilippo had two caused turnovers and three ground balls.
-Bradley Mead had a pair of ground balls and caused turnovers.
-Connor Teears had five ground balls while four Mighty Macs had four: Bailey Manion, Robbie Wishart, Brian Fuchs, and Aidan Lawrence.
-Ben Wesolowski, Evan Petrecz, and Seth Panowitz each had a single caused turnover.

How it Happened

• Ninety seconds in, Connor Teears scored the game's opening goal off a helper from David Azzarano. 
• Brian Fuchs won the ensuing faceoff, recovered by Aidan Lawrence, before an unassisted Robbie Wishart goal eighteen seconds later. 
• Immaculata scored a string of goals each one minute apart: Ryan Gorman fed Joseph Biuso for the first, Nicholas DeFilippo found David Azzarano for the second, and Azzarano found Bailey Manion for the third. The Mighty Macs used these to generate a 5-0 lead midway through the opening period.
• Tears, Manion, and Biuso had the Macs' last three goals in the first quarter, interrupted by a score from King's at 3:27.
• Joseph Biuso scored early in the second quarter, followed by a man-down goal from Ryan Gorman. Ben Wesolowski had the next goal before assisting Matthew Frame to push the Macs ahead 12-1.
