Men's Lacrosse topples King's College 21-2

WILKES-BARRE, Pa.- The Immaculata men's lacrosse team earned a comfortable win over King's College on Saturday, defeating the Monarchs 21-2. The Mighty Macs took a sizable lead early, outscoring King's 8-1 in the opening quarter. Immaculata improves to 5-5 with their second consecutive win with two games remaining before Atlantic East Conference play opens against Neumann at home in one week's time. The Mighty Macs are set to play a rescheduled game against Rosemont on Monday and meet Albright on the road on Wednesday.
 
Scoring
-Joseph Biuso and Bailey Manion netted four goals and one assist apiece, as Ryan Gorman matched their five point output with three goals and two helpers.
-David Azzarano led the Macs with three assists and scored one goal.
-Connor Teears had two goals and an assist as Robbie Wishart found the back of the net twice.
-Jason Smaron, Evan Petrecz, Ben Wesolowski, Matthew Frame, and Jude Azzarano rounded out the IU goalscorers.
 
Defensive
-Jason Smaron was disruptive from Immaculata's front line, forcing two caused turnovers and digging six ground balls.
-Nicholas DeFilippo had two caused turnovers and three ground balls.
-Bradley Mead had a pair of ground balls and caused turnovers.
-Connor Teears had five ground balls while four Mighty Macs had four: Bailey Manion, Robbie Wishart, Brian Fuchs, and Aidan Lawrence.
-Ben Wesolowski, Evan Petrecz, and Seth Panowitz each had a single caused turnover.
