Fourth Quarter Surge Leads Men's Lacrosse to Victory over Manhattanville, 12-8

MADISON, N.J.- The Immaculata men's lacrosse team defeated Manhattanville University 12-8 on Sunday in the consolation game of the Leanos Cup Tournament at Drew University. With the game tied at 7-7 late in the third quarter, David Azzarano scored a goal with 1:50 remaining in the third quarter to give Immaculata lead they would not surrender at 8-7. In the fourth quarter Immaculata four straight goals to extend their lead and closed out the 12-8 victory. Connor Teears scored four goals, and had one assists for five points, and David Azzarano and Bailey Manion each had five-point games with two goals and three assists. Goalkeeper Matthew Ludlow made 20 saves. Immaculata concludes a solid weekend going 1-1. Immaculata improves to 4-5 overall, and Manhattanville falls to 1-5 overall.
 
Scoring
-Connor Teears scored four goals and had one assist for five points. David Azzarano and Bailey Manion each had five points, with two goals and three assists.
-Ryan Gorman had two goals and one assist for three points, and Joseph Biuso had two goals.
-Jason Smaron, and Seth Panowitz each had an assist.
 
Defensive
-Seth Panowitz, Robbie Wishart, Bradley Mead, and Colton Rhoades each had two caused turnovers. David Azzarano, Bailey Manion, Brian Fuchs, Nicholas Dimonda, and Daniel Alvarez each had one caused turnover.
