IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata men's volleyball team collected their fourth consecutive win in a come from behind victory over Neumann University 3-2 (26-24, 23-25, 16-25, 25-21, 15-7) on Friday night.
Josh McGurl had a match-leading 18 kills and 5 aces, while
Noah Zunski earned 13 kills and 8 digs, as
Matthew Pfister and
Joe Martell combined for 34 digs in the match.

Immaculata moves to an impressive 5-1 start to the season, as Neumann sits 2-3 through their first five matches. The Mighty Macs look to hold their momentum (3-win week, 4 match win streak) through the upcoming week that includes two single matches and a tri-match at Eastern on Saturday.Â
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Set 1: The Mighty Macs and Knights traded rallies early, as neither school separated by more than three points on the scoreboard. A pair of three-point runs helped Immaculata take the first set 26-24 over the visitors.
- Set 2: Despite having 5 more kills than the Knights, the Mighty Macs fell in the second set. Immaculata's attack was responsible for 11 attack errors to Neumann's 3, as Neumann edged Immaculata 25-23.
- Set 3: Two quick kills from Josh McGurl helped Immaculata open the set with a 3-0 lead, but Neumann used a five point swing to claim a 10-5 lead early. The Knights held off the Mighty Macs' late runs to take the set 25-16.
- Set 4:Â Trailing two sets to one, the Mighty Macs found themselves playing even against the Knights. The Macs used a 5-point swing that included kills from McGurl, Noah Zunski, and Nate Bailey to gain a 13-10 edge. After Neumann tied the set 19-19, Immaculata won 6 of the next 8 rallies to even the match 2 sets apiece.
- Set 5: Tied 5-5 in the fifth set, Immaculata ripped off a 5-point run to take a 10-5 lead. The Mighty Macs closed the book on the match as the team capitalized on three Neumann attack errors, taking set five 15-7.
