ST. DAVIDS, Pa.- The Immaculata men's volleyball team (5-5) fell in both of their matches in their quad match at Eastern University on Saturday. Immaculata fell to Eastern (9-5) in their first match 3-1 (22-25, 15-25, 25-22, 21-25). Immaculata fell to Valley Forge (5-3) in their second match 3-2 (25-14, 25-13, 21-25, 18-25, 13-15).
Noah Zunski had a combined 36 kills; Noah Zunski had a combined five service aces, Joe Martell had a combined 76 assists and 22 digs, and Matthew Pfister had a combined 20 digs to lead Immaculata.
HOW IT HAPPENED vs. EASTERN

Set 1: Immaculata jumped out to a 3-0 lead as Joe Martell served three consecutive points with kills by Josh McGurl and Noah Zunski. Trailing in the set 22-18, Immaculata got a side out on a kill by Jordan Brown, and Brandon Lieberman served consecutive points as Immaculata closed the lead to 22-21. Eastern would win the first set 25-22.

Set 3: With the set tied at 6-6, Josh McGurl got a kill to give Immaculata a 7-6 lead. McGurl would register three consecutive kills later in the set as Immaculata took a 13-7 lead. Eastern battled back to tie the set 21-21. Noah Zunski then got three consecutive kills as Immaculata would win set three 25-22 on a McGurl kill. In their eighth all-time meeting with Eastern, this was the first time Immaculata won a set vs Eastern.

Set 4: In the fourth set, Josh McGurl served consecutive points as Immaculata took a 3-2 lead. Eastern would rebound to take a 14-10 lead. Josh McGurl served consecutive points including a service ace and a kill from Noah Zunski as Immaculata closed the lead to 14-12. Joe Martell served consecutive points, and McGurl had another service ace for Immaculata. Eastern closed out the match winning the set 25-21.

Set 1: Immaculata used a seven-point run led by Michael Prall serving six straight points. The run included a kill from Josh McGurl. Immaculata would use an eight-point run with McGurl serving seven straight points with a service ace and a kill. The run would include kills from Michael Prall, Jordan Brown, and Noah Zunski as Immaculata took set one 25-14.

Set 3: In the third set, with Immaculata leading 21-20, Valley Forge rallied for five consecutive points to extend the match to a fourth set, winning 25-21.

Set 5: Immaculata opened an early 4-1 lead as Josh McGurl had a service ace. Valley Forge would go on a seven-point run to take a 10-5 lead. Christian Lee served three consecutive points as Immaculata pulled within one point at 12-11. Immaculata fought off two match points as Noah Zunski got a kill, and Joe Martell served an ace. Valley Forge would complete their comeback and take the match winning set three 15-13.
