ST. MARY'S CITY, Md.- The Immaculata men's and women's swimming teams kicked off the Atlantic East Conference Championship meet on Thursday. The programs competed in two relay events on the evening, highlighted by the women's 200-yard medley relay breaking 2:00 minutes to improve their own-held program record. The Mighty Macs will hit the blocks twice tomorrow, with prelims at 10am and a series of event finals starting at 6pm.
Session 1 Summary
Events: 200-yard Medley Relay, 800-yard Freestyle Relay.
- The Immaculata women's 200-yard relay team of Ashley Batejan (Backstroke), Delanie McPeak (Breaststroke), Keira Wiley (Butterfly), and Joella Moyer (Freestyle), placed 4th among the Conference with a time of 1:58.09.
- Immaculata's women's 800-yard freestyle relay team of Rebecca Ambrose, Bella Hernandez, Jess Kiederling, and Liz Ferguson placed 3rd among the Conference, touching the wall at 9:49.85.
- The Immaculata men's 800-yard freestyle relay team consisting of Zach Crawford, Lucas Lau, Aidan Gall, and Mike DeMattei placed 4th in the event behind a time of 8:19.84.

Conference Standing
- The Immaculata women's swim team sits in third place, accumulating 62 points.
- The men's team earned 30 points, placing the Mighty Macs fourth among the Atlantic East after Day One.
