Immaculata, Pa. – The Immaculata women's swimming team will travel to St. Mary's College of Maryland to compete in the 2025 Atlantic East Conference Swimming Championships. For the second straight year, the championships will span four days starting on Thursday at 6 p.m.

The Atlantic East Conference announced their Women's Swimming Pre-Championship Coaches' Poll on Tuesday afternoon and Immaculata was voted fourth in the poll with 12 points.

St. Mary's was selected as the favorite to win the AEC Championship with 25 points and five first place votes. Marymount is second with 20 points and one first place vote. Marywood was selected third with 18 points. Immaculata is fourth with 12 points. Cedar Crest is fifth with nine points, and Gallaudet rounds out the poll with six points.

Immaculata enters the swimming championships with a 3-8 overall record and is 2-3 against Atlantic East Conference competition.

"I am extremely excited to watch the team compete this year at the Atlantic East Conference Championships," said Head Coach Josh Pace. "We have been grinding hard in the pool the last few months and I believe all of the hard work is going to pay off."

The Immaculata women's team has a good mix of veterans and underclassmen that have led the team this season.

Delanie McPeak was named the Atlantic East Conference Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week on November 3, 2024, and was named to the AEC Weekly Honor Roll three times.

Keira Wiley, Liz Ferguson, and Ashley Batejan were all named to the AEC Weekly Honor Roll during the 2024-25 season.

"I expect Freshmen Delanie McPeak, Ashley Batejan, Sophomore Keira Wiley, Junior Liz Ferguson, and Senior Joella Moyer to help lead us this year at conference championships," continued Pace. "I am expecting a ton of season and personal best times, and I fully expect to rewrite our record board."

The Championships will be the team's first competition since their dual meet at Arcadia on January 25th.

"This season we have not done any type of meet that we rested for," concluded Pace. "The team is itching to finally be able to taper, throw on a fast suit and compete."
