2025 Immaculata Women's Cross Country Season Recap

SEASON OVERVIEW
The Immaculata University women's cross-country team, led by third-year head coach David Smith and assistant coach Matt Murray, delivered an outstanding 2025 season highlighted by a runner-up finish at the Atlantic East Conference (AEC) Championships on November 1. The Mighty Macs also posted dedicated team performances throughout the year at the Philadelphia Cross Classic, Cairn Highlander Invitational, and Rowan Inter-Regional Border Battle.
 
At the AEC Championships, Immaculata placed four runners in the top 14, including two top 10 finishers. Aubrey Donahue captured her second career Atlantic East Conference Individual Championship, while Jayla Gross placed ninth, Breanne Dymek finished eleventh, and Jacquie Leone took fourteenth, with all three earning All-AEC honors.
 
The postseason success continued at the NCAA Division III Metro Regional Championships, where Donahue placed seventh overall, earning All-Region honors with a program-record time of 22:57.5. Six Immaculata runners recorded personal-best performances at the regional meet, underscoring the team's depth and development throughout the season.

HIGHLIGHTS
  • Aubrey Donahue had a historic season, setting multiple Immaculata program records. She placed second at the Bryn Mawr Invitational with a program-record 5K time of 19:58.0, finished second at the Philadelphia Cross Classic (20:23.6), and won the Cairn Highlander Invitational with a course-record time of 24:26.6. Donahue also set a then-program record at the Rowan Border Battle (22:57.5) before claiming the AEC Individual Championship (25:03.4). At the NCAA Metro Regional Championships, she earned All-Region honors with a program-record time of 22:35.9. For her outstanding accomplishments in competition and in the classroom, Donahue was named the 2025 Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Runner of the Year.
  • Jayla Gross recorded multiple strong finishes, including a 5K personal best of 22:04.9 at Bryn Mawr and a 15th-place finish at the Philadelphia Cross Classic. She earned All-AEC honors with a ninth-place finish at the conference championships and ran an 8K personal best of 24:59.1 at regionals.
  • Breanne Dymek set a 5K personal best at Bryn Mawr (22:37.0), earned All-AEC honors with an 11th-place finish at the AEC Championships, and posted an 8K personal best of 25:14.6 at the NCAA Metro Regional Championships.
  • Jacquie Leone earned All-AEC honors with a 14th-place finish at the conference meet and ran an 8K personal best of 25:00.3 at regionals.
  • Molly Wasylenko recorded an 8K personal best of 31:28.6 at the NCAA Metro Regional Championships.
  • Madeline McBride ran an 8K personal best of 30:49.5 at the Rowan Border Battle and followed with a near-identical performance (30:50.0) at the NCAA Metro Regional Championships on the same course.
  • Samantha Rivera capped the season with an 8K personal best of 31:17.6 at the NCAA Metro Regional Championships.
