IMMACULATA, Pa. – Despite a strong start from Immaculata men's basketball on Saturday, the Rutgers University-Camden Scarlet Raptors pulled away in the second half for an 84-73 win.
The Mighty Macs are 1-4 for the season. Their first AEC game will be on Wednesday, Jan. 7 versus Neumann.
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST RUTGERS-CAMDEN
- The Mighty Macs began the afternoon going up 11-2 before the Scarlet Raptors broke the run. A Dylan Crews triple and a Kevin Telesford layup built the Immaculata advantage to six. After Rutgers-Camden took the lead, the deficit was cut to two with 13 seconds left on a Mandon Seapoe layup. Seapoe had the hot hand, registering 18 first-half points. The Scarlet Raptors led 46-44 at the half.
- Out of the locker room, Rutgers-Camden heated up offensively. The Mighty Macs were down 12 points two times, but they got two buckets from Telesford and Marquis Peoples Jr. With under 90 seconds to play, Immaculata hit three straight triples and forced a five-second violation. However, the final score was Rutgers-Camden 84-71.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Seapoe led the Mighty Macs with 20 points and five assists.
- Domenic Vacchiano nearly had a double-double with nine points and eight rebounds.
- Rutgers-Camden saw 48 points in the paint to Immaculata's 34.

The Mighty Macs are on the road on Tuesday, Nov. 25 at 3 p.m. They will face the Arcadia University Knights.
