Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Men's Basketball Stifled by Haverford Fords

IMMACULATA, Pa. – Although Immaculata men's basketball had chances to take the lead away from the Haverford College Fords on Wednesday evening, the Fords were victorious 88-81.

The Mighty Macs are 1-3 for the season. Their first AEC game will be on Wednesday, Jan. 7 versus Neumann.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST HAVERFORD
  • Christian Chambers opened the game with a triple 31 seconds in. The Fords wrestled the lead away from Immaculata for a moment, but Chambers responded with another three-pointer. Despite an Idan Zuker bucket from downtown that cut the deficit to five, Haverford converted two shots in the final 37 seconds in the half, including a buzzer-beating tip-in. The Fords led 49-40 going into the locker room.
  • With a 17-point hole early in the second half, the Mighty Macs fought back with a 10-2 run. Multiple Haverford turnovers allowed Immaculata to storm back to within two points, 62-60, forcing a Fords timeout. Jayden Williams and Zuker were major in the run. However, 12 unanswered points from the visitors sealed the game in favor of Haverford. The Fords won 88-81.
