Field Hockey Set to Host St. Mary’s (Md.) on Wednesday Afternoon

WHAT TO KNOW
  • The Immaculata Field Hockey team (4-9) returns to action on Wednesday afternoon when they host St. Mary's College of Maryland at Draper Walsh Stadium.
  • Immaculata will look to bounce back after falling to Oswego State 2-1 last Friday afternoon at Draper Walsh Stadium.
  • St. Mary's of Maryland (6-4) enters Wednesdays game after defeating Wittenberg 8-0 on Sunday. They fell to No. 15 Shenandoah 4-1 on Saturday.

  • Senior forward Brenna Ziegler leads St. Mary's with six goals and three assists.
  • Senior forward Briana Allen has four goals and four assists.
  • Senior forward Emma Watkins scored six goals, and senior midfielder Josie Shermeyer scored three goals and has five assists.
  • Sophomore goalkeeper Sophia Kent has started nine games, and has made 71 saves on 102 shots faced, with two shutouts.
DEFENSIVE STANDOUTS
  • Immaculata recorded 5 defensive saves across last week's games.
  • Victoria Atkinson and Bailee Neitz each registered a defensive save against Goucher on September 30th.
  • Rachel Madden registered a defensive save, and Natalie Dodd registered two defensive saves in Friday's game vs Oswego State.
  • Dodd became the first player to record two defensive saves in one game since Madalyn Bonner registered two at Goucher on October 8, 2024.
 
UP NEXT
  • Immaculata will be back in action at Draper Walsh Stadium on Friday afternoon when the host the College of Wooster at 4 p.m.
  • Friday will be Senior Day for the Immaculata Field Hockey Team as the honor seniors prior to the game.
