Women's Soccer Takes Control in Win over Centenary Cyclones

IMMACULATA, Pa. – Immaculata women's soccer dominated the Centenary University Cyclones on Saturday, as they won their first conference match of the season 2-0.

The Mighty Macs are 2-6-1 for the season. They are 1-0 in AEC play.

HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST CENTENARY (N.J.)
  • Immaculata started the match firing away, putting up three shots in the initial 10 minutes. The Mighty Macs' offense stayed hot throughout the half, resulting in a Sam Terry goal at 38:56. She nailed the shot on a free kick. The Mighty Macs led 1-0 through 45 minutes.
  • Near the beginning of the second half, both sides were assessed a yellow card. Just a minute after Immaculata's yellow card, Gabby Palladino scored the final goal of the day after sidestepping a defender. Lily McGee had the assist. Emily Guthier saved the two Centenary shots, both of which came in the second half. The last Immaculata shot, attempted by Gracie Repici, was in the 88th minute. Immaculata was victorious with a 2-0 final.

  • Terry and Palladino were the Mighty Macs' two goal scorers.
  • McGee logged the assist on the Palladino score.
  • Immaculata saw a whopping 28 shot attempts to Centenary's two. While both Cyclones' shots were on goal, 14 were on goal for Immaculata.
