IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Immaculata field hockey team got off to a promising start on Thursday evening, but a strong response from visiting Kean proved to be too much as the Mighty Macs fell 6-1 in non-conference play.
Freshman forward
Morgan Barnes gave Immaculata the early lead, scoring just 4:26 into the first quarter to give Immaculata a 1-0 lead.
However, Kean responded quickly, scoring six unanswered goals – three in the first quarter, and two more before halftime – to pull away.
With the loss, Immaculata falls to 4–8 overall, while Kean improves to 5–5 on the season.
