  • The Immaculata Field Hockey team (5-10) returns to action on Friday when they visit Manhattanville for their Atlantic East Conference opener.
  • Immaculata enters Friday's game after earning a 1-0 Senior Day win over The College of Wooster on October 10th at Draper Walsh Stadium.
  • Manhattanville (4-8, 0-1 AEC) enters Friday's game after falling in their AEC opener last Saturday at Neumann 3-1.

  • Immaculata and Manhattanville are meeting for the fourth time in their series that began in 2022.

  • Junior forward Keira Guinan with two goals, six assists for 10 points, and freshman midfielder Emelina Leccesse with four goals and two assists for 10 points share the team scoring lead.
  • Senior midfielder Lulu LePage scored four goals.
  • Junior goalkeeper Hannah Doherty has started all 12 games and has made 63 saves on 95 shots faced.
 
AEC WEEKLY HONORS
  • Mackenzie Schrack was named AEC Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season. Schrack totaled 16 saves over 90 minutes of action last week. Schrack made eight saves in the second half against St. Mary's (Md.) on October 8 and followed up with a stellar performance in a 1-0 shutout over The College of Wooster. She turned away all eight shots she faced, including four consecutive saves in a dramatic goalmouth scramble to preserve the win. Schrack posted an impressive .889 save percentage for the week.
  • Gabrielle O'Brien was named to the AEC Weekly Honor Roll. O'Brien scored the lone goal in the Mighty Macs' 1-0 Senior Day win over Wooster. Her goal proved to be the game-winner in a tightly contested match.
 
AEC OPENER NOTES
  • Immaculata is 3-3 all-time in conference openers since the formation of the Atlantic East Conference in 2018.
  • This is the second consecutive year that Immaculata and Manhattanville have met in their AEC opener.
  • Going back to Immaculata's time in the Colonial States Athletic Conference, the Mighty Macs are 7-4 overall in their last 11 conference openers dating back to 2013. There was no conference season played in 2020 due to the pandemic.
