Granitto, McGee Score First Collegiate Goals as Immaculata Dominates Saint Elizabeth 6-0 on Senior Day

IMMACULATA, Pa. – The Immaculata University women's soccer team delivered a dominant 6-0 win over visiting Saint Elizabeth University in Atlantic East Conference (AEC) action on Saturday afternoon. The match was Senior Day, with the program honoring six seniors: Gabby Palladino, Samantha Seidito, Maria Granitto, Savanna Crowding, Ella Bonaventure, and Emily Guthier.
 
With the victory, the Mighty Macs improve to 3-7-1 overall and 2-1-0 in AEC play, while the loss drops Saint Elizabeth to 2-4-0 (0-2-0 AEC).
 
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST SAINT ELIZABETH
  • Lily McGee opened the scoring with her first collegiate goal, assisted by Gabby Palladino in the 17th minute.
  • Gracie Repici tallied her third goal of the season, again assisted by Palladino, to extend the lead to 2-0 in the 27th minute.
  • Palladino added a goal of her own—her second of the season—on an assist from senior Maria Granitto, who recorded her first collegiate point in the 28th minute.
  • In the 37th minute, Natalie D'Alfonso scored unassisted to make it 4-0, marking her second goal of the season.
  • Brooke Kakowski found the back of the net in the 44th minute off a pass from Marissa Sozzi, sending the Mighty Macs into halftime with a commanding 5-0 lead.
  • Fittingly on Senior Day, Maria Granitto capped the scoring with her first collegiate goal, assisted by fellow senior Samantha Seidito in the 85th minute.

  • Granitto finished with a goal and an assist—her first career points.
  • Palladino had a standout performance with a goal and two assists.
  • Goalkeepers Emily Guthier, Addi Husenica, and Devan Cosgrove combined for the clean sheet.
