MADISON, N.J. – Immaculata men's soccer, despite falling to the Drew University Rangers 4-3 on Wednesday, scored a season-high three goals and saw multiple players record career-firsts.
The Mighty Macs are 1-8 for the season. Their first AEC match will be on Saturday, Oct. 4 versus Centenary (N.J.).
HOW IT HAPPENED AGAINST DREW
- After nearly 20 minutes of quiet action from both sides, the Rangers struck first in the 23rd minute. Two Drew fouls segued into a Jonathan Olaleye score to tie the match. Not even a minute later, the Rangers returned the favor to go up 2-1. The Mighty Macs fought back with a score in the 36th minute, courtesy of Demier and Jayden Tossie. Demier scored his first career goal; Jayden captured his first career assist. The home team attempted a few shots as the half ended, and the score was knotted at 2-2.
- Luca Greppellini saved a Drew shot early in the second half. After an Immaculata yellow card, the Rangers would once again break the tie. Anthony Fitch joined the goal party with his first collegiate score. This tied the match 3-3. However, the 88th minute proved to be the difference, as Drew scored the game-winner. The Rangers won 4-3.

- The Mighty Macs scored a season-high three goals, all coming from a different player.
