Four Macs Score in Double Figures as Women's Basketball Tops Neumann, 77-67

ASTON, Pa.- Abigail Boyer led Immaculata with 19 points as one of four Mighty Macs to reach double figures in points. Tessa Liberatoscioli scored all 12 of her points in the fourth quarter, as Immaculata defeated Neumann 77-67 on the road Wednesday evening.

With the win Immaculata continued their strong start to the season improving to 12-3 overall, and to 2-0 in Atlantic East Conference play. With the loss, Neumann falls to 9-6 overall, and 1-1 in Atlantic East Conference play.

HOW IT HAPPPENED
  • Carly Coleman and Reese Mullins scored two baskets each as Immaculata jumped out to a quick 8-0 lead with 7:51 remaining in the first quarter. Immaculata would get additional baskets from Riley Cassidy, Abigail Boyer, Meg Robbins, Carly Coleman, and Reese Mullins as they lead 22-10 after one quarter of play.
  • In the second quarter, Abigail Boyer hit three, three-pointers as Immaculata built their lead to 35-14 with 4:21 remaining in the quarter. Neumann responded going on an 8-3 to finish the quarter as Immaculata led 38-22 at the half. Abigail Boyer and Carly Coleman led Immaculata with 12 points each in the first half.
  • Neumann came out firing in the third quarter, using a 24-7 run to take a 46-45 lead with 1:05 remaining in the third quarter. Carly Coleman and Riley Cassidy each hit a pair of free throws as Immaculata led 49-48 after three quarters of play.
  • In the fourth quarter, Neumann took a 50-49 lead early in the quarter. Tessa Liberatoscioli responded with her fourth steal of the game and scored on a driving layup to give Immaculata a 51-50 lead. Reese Mullins twice hit a pair of free throws to put Immaculata in front to stay at 57-56 with 6:22 remaining. Olivia Ettorre then scored on a layup, then got a steal and fed Tessa Liberatoscioli who scored on a driving layup. Carly Coleman scored on a layup, and then Tessa Liberatoscioli scored on a pair of driving layups off steals from Abigail Boyer and Olivia Ettorre. Liberatoscioli would return the favor with her fifth steal of the game and fed Ettorre for the driving layup. Immaculata would go on to close out the win 77-67.
TOP PERFORMERS
  • Abigail Boyer led Immaculata with 19 points, shooting 6-10 from the field, and 3-5 from behind the arc. Boyer added four assists, one blocked shot, and two steals.
  • Carly Coleman scored a career high 17 points shooting 7-10 from the field, with five rebounds, two assists, one blocked shot, and one steal.
  • Reese Mullins scored 16 points, shooting 5-9 from the field, and was 6-6 from the stripe. Mullins had a game high seven rebounds, three assists, one blocked shot, and two steals. Mullins has scored in double figures in 13 out 15 games this season.
  • Tessa Liberatoscioli scored all 12 of her points in the fourth quarter for the Mighty Macs. She added six rebounds, including four defensive rebounds, two blocked shots, and five steals.
  • Riley Cassidy scored six points off the bench, with four rebounds, two assists, one blocked shot, and one steal.
  • Olivia Ettorre was a game high +19 for Immaculata, scoring three points, with two rebounds, one assist, two blocked shots, and two steals.
