THE STORYLINE 

• The Immaculata men's and women's track and field teams open their 2024-25 Indoor Season on Saturday when they travel to Alvernia University for Alvernia Plex Shootout. 

• The event will include local division III schools: Alvernia, Arcadia, Bryn Mawr, Delaware Valley, Dickinson, Elizabethtown, FDU Florham, Gettysburg, Hood, King's, Lancaster Bible, Muhlenberg, Penn State Berks, Pratt Institute, Stevens, and York. The event will include West Chester and Williamson Tech.  

• The event will also be the Head Coaching debut for Matthew Murray. 

• Immaculata will compete in five events in their indoor season as they prepare for the 2025 outdoor season. 

ALVERNIA PLEX SHOOTOUT HISTORY 

• Immaculata last participated in the Alvernia Plex Shootout in 2023. 

• Emily Kipers set a new IU program record in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 12.55. 

• The men's 4 x 200-meter relay team of Peter McHugh, Christopher Watson, Nicholas Speakman-Viggiano, and Chris Mendoza set an IU indoor program record with a time of 1:39.88. 

MIGHTY MAC MEN'S NOTES 

• Joshua Derocher will run in the men's 60-meter. 

• Aaron Cuthbert and Maurice Franklin will run in the men's 200-meter. 

• Jimmy Lauer will represent Immaculata in the men's 800-meter. 

• Connor Kakowski, Chris Watson and Kendall Budlow will compete in the men's one mile. 

• Samuel Domencic and Jason Canterino will run in the men's 3000-meter. 

• Luke Micsky will represent Immaculata in the men's shot put. 

• The team of Connor Kakowski, Christopher Watson, Aaron Cuthbert, and Maurice Franklin will compete in the men's 4 x 400-meter relay. 

MIGHTY MAC WOMEN'S NOTES 

• Kimberly Alvarez, Ella Bonaventure, and Jillian Humphries will compete in the women's 200-meter. 

• Mary Steinbicker will represent Immaculata in the women's 400-meter. 

• Jayla Gross and Jacquie Leone will run in the women's 800-meter. 

• Aubrey Donahue and Breanne Dymek will compete in the women's 3000-meter. 

• Diana Rivera and Julianne Frederick will represent Immaculata in the women's shot put. 

• The team of Jayla Gross, Kimberly Alvarez, Jillian Humphries, and Mary Steinbicker, and the team of Ella Bonaventure, Jacquie Leone, Samantha Rivera, and Breanne Dymek will compete in the women's 4 x 400-meter relay.

• The Immaculata men's and women's track and field teams will be back in action on Saturday, February 8th, when they compete in the Frank Colden Invitational at Ursinus College in the Floy Lewis Bakes Center.
