GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa.- On Sunday morning, the Immaculata Men's Track and Field team made the early trip to take part in a locally-held invite, Gwynedd Mercy University's Last Chance Meet. The site of Sunday's competition will double as the venue for the Atlantic East Conference Championship meet next weekend. The Mighty Macs had success during the day and familiarized themselves with the facilities in advance of their Conference Championship.
Track Events
- Five Mighty Macs took on the 1500 meter run: Christopher Watson won the event with the time of 4:43.41, as Connor Kakowski narrowly placed second with the time of 4:44.33, Jimmy Lauer placed fourth with the time of 4:57.36, Alexander Wilson placed fifth with the time of 5:37.30, and Jason Canterino placed sixth with the time of 5:58.31.
- Aaron Cuthbert, Dylan Crews, Jonathan Olaleye, and Jayden Williams took on the 100 meter dash: Cuthbert placed 3rd (11.74 seconds), Crews placed 5th (11.87 seconds), Olaleye placed 7th (12.15 seconds) and Williams placed 21st (12.25 seconds).
- Samuel Domencic and Kendall Budlow took up the 800 meter run. Domencic earned first place with the time of 2:06.74, as Budlow placed fourth with a time of 2:56.60.
- Alexander Wilson completed the 400 meter run in 1:08.44, leading him to 5th place.
- Jason Canterino ran the 400 meter hurdles, placing 2nd with a time of 1:27.95.
- Aaron Cuthbert and Jonathan Olaleye competed in the 200 meter dash, as Cuthbert placed 9th behind a time of 24.58 seconds and Olaleye placed 10th at 25.18 seconds.
- Immaculata's 4x400 A team relay placed 2nd with the time of 4:02.21.
Field Events
- In the shot put, Joshua Derocher placed 8th, throwing 10.17 meters. Luke Micsky placed 9th by throwing 8.31 meters.
- In the discus, Joshua Derocher placed 5th, throwing 36.22 meters. Luke Micsky placed 11th, marking 19.69 meters.
- During the men's hammer, Joshua Derocher tossed 21.73 meters, slotting into 9th place.
- Joshua Derocher placed 7th in men's javelin, throwing 33.62 meters, as Luke Micsky threw 22.88 meters, placing him 9th, and Kendall Budlow placed 10th with a 16.21 meter javelin throw.
- At high jump, Dylan Crews cleared 1.75 meters, placing 5th in the meet, while Aaron Cuthbert surpassed 1.70 meters, earning him 6th place.Â
- At long jump, Dylan Crews placed third overall, jumping 5.80 meters, as Aaron Cuthbert placed fourth, measuring 5.79 meters.
