Women's Soccer Opens Conference Play Hosting Gwynedd Mercy for Senior Day on Saturday

THE STORYLINE
  • The Immaculata women's soccer team (4-5-1, 0-0 AEC) hosts Gwynedd Mercy (3-3-2, 0-0 AEC for their Atlantic East Conference opener. Immaculata enters Saturday's game after defeating Albright 2-1 on September 24th in their final non-conference tune up for the AEC opener.

  • Marissa Birmingham scored the eventual game winner in 69th minute of Tuesday's win over Albright running down a perfect ball played by Gabby Palladino and shooting into the net for her first collegiate goal! Birmingham continues to be a factor on all parts of the field for Immaculata.
  • Savannah Crowding scored her first goal of the season in Tuesday's win over Albright heading the corner from Same Terry into the net in the game's ninth minute to give the Mighty Macs the early 1-0 lead.
  • Rachel McNamee continues to lead Immaculata's offense with four goals. She generated three shots on goal vs Albright on Tuesday.
  • Sam Terry picked up her team leading third assist of the season finding Crowding's head with another perfectly placed corner into the box.
