Women's Soccer Hosts Albright at Draper Walsh Stadium on Tuesday

THE STORYLINE
  • The Immaculata women's soccer team (3-5-1) returns to action on Tuesday afternoon when they host Albright College at Draper Walsh Stadium at 4:00 pm. The Mighty Macs will look to bounce back from Saturday's loss to Penn State Abington.
  • Albright College has started their season (1-4-1). They fell to Juniata 2-1 in their last game on September 21st.

  • Rachel McNamee leads the Mighty Macs with four goals this season. She had the eventual game-winner in the team's win over Rosemont on September 17th. McNamee has a team high 15 shots on goal.
  • Gabby Palladino continues to be a strong presence on the field for Immaculata. Palladino has one goal and one assist and has generated five shots on goal.
  • Kelsey Caldarelli has started all nine games for Immaculata this season. Here one goal was a game winner against King's College. She has five shots on goal.
  • Emily Guthier continued her strong play in goal with a combined six saves in Immaculata's two games last week.
  • Marissa Birmingham continued her strong play on the field for Immaculata. She has played and started eight games for the Mighty Macs and has a part of the game plan at outside back.
  • Sam Terry leads the Mighty Macs with two assists and has been taking most of the set pieces for Immaculata.
 
SCOUTING ALBRIGHT
  • Albright defeated Rosemont 3-1 in their season opener. They tied Penn State Berks 2-2, lost to Neumann 2-0, Rutgers Newark 2-0, Wilkes 1-0, and Juniata 2-1,
  • Albright has been led by first-year forward Daiveni Fisher, and junior midfielder Mackenzie Sowers who have two goals each.
  • Sophomore defender Audrey Solt has one goal and a team high two assists.
  • Senior goalkeeper McKenna LeVan has started five games, she is 1-3-1, and has made 35 saves on 87 shots faced this season.
  • Albright is averaging 7.2 shots per game, and their opponents are averaging 16.7 shots per game.
 
WEEKLY HONORS
  • Rachel McNamee was named to the Atlantic East Conference Women's Soccer Weekly Honor Roll on Monday afternoon. McNamee returned to the Immaculata line up to score the eventual game winner in the Immaculata's 1-0 win over Rosemont on September 17th. McNamee generated a combined eight shots including four on goal in Immaculata's two games this week.
  • Emily Guthier was named to the Atlantic East Conference Women's Soccer Weekly Honor Roll for a fourth consecutive week on Monday afternoon. Guthier made a combined six saves on a combined 23 shots faced in Immaculata's two games this week. She recorded her second career shutout against Rosemont on September 17th and made five saves in their game against Penn State Abington.
