Field Hockey Falls against Unbeaten Dutchmen

ANNVILLE, Pa.- The Immaculata field hockey team (4-0) fell to undefeated Lebanon Valley (7-0) 3-0 in a non-conference matchup on Saturday afternoon at LVC.
 
Lebanon Valley scored all three goals in the first quarter, and stymied the Immaculata offense, limiting the Mighty Macs to just one shot as they closed out the 3-0 win.
 
How it Happened
  • Lebanon Valley threatened to score in the game's third minute, but Immaculata defender Stephanie Webb made a defensive save for the Mighty Macs.
  • Lebanon Valley opened the scoring in the game's 10th minute when Jenna Angstadt scored off a penalty corner on an assist from Gracie Johnson.
  • LVC extended their lead to 2-0 in the 12th minute as Abby Rodenberger scored on an assist from Lexi Ward.
  • Sorrell Long scored in the 13th minute, as the Dutchmen led 3-0 after the first quarter of play after outshooting Immaculata 8-0.
  • In the second quarter of play, the Lebanon Valley had three shots that were saved by Julia Levase, and LVC led 3-0 at halftime.
  • In the third quarter, Della George had Immaculata's lone shot on the day in the 42nd minute on a penalty corner inserted by Abby Fekete. The shot went wide.
