BALTIMORE, Md. – Goucher College scored twice in each half and defeated Immaculata Univer 4-0, in non-conference men's soccer action on Saturday afternoon.
Immaculata is now 2-3-0 on the season, while Goucher improves to 4-0-2, and earned their fourth straight shutout.
How It Happened
- Goucher opened the scoring in the game's 14th minute when Acquila De Carvalho scored off an assist from Domenic Arena.
- In the game's 26th minute Goucher was awarded a penalty kick taken by Will Frasher. Immaculata goalkeeper Ryan Straub saved the penalty. Will Frasher scored on the rebound to double Goucher's lead to 2-0.
- Cooper McKinney got Immaculata's first shot on goal in the 32nd minute that was saved by Gopher goalkeeper Ale Sternini.
- Goucher would take the 2-0 lead into the halftime break.
- Michael Prall had a shot on goal for Immaculata in the game's 51st minute that was stopped.
- In the game's 56th minute Goucher extended their lead to 3-0 on a goal by Auila De Carvalho that was assisted by Michael Adekanmbi.
- Goucher closed out the scoring In the game's 69th minute when Anthony Ketelsen scored off an assist from Elliot Bezdek to make the score 4-0.
