Field Hockey Team Opens Weekend at Lancaster Bible on Friday Afternoon

IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata field hockey team (3-1) is back in action this weekend with a pair of games. The team is off to their best start since 2016 when the Mighty Macs opened their season by winning their first three games.  

The Mighty Macs will travel to play at Lancaster Bible on Friday afternoon, before returning home Saturday to host Keystone College at Draper Walsh Stadium.

SERIES HISTORY 

  • This will be the fifth meeting between the schools in a series that began in 2019. 

  • Immaculata has won the previous four meetings. 

LAST MEETING 

  • Immaculata defeated Lancaster Bible 5-0 on September 16, 2023, at Draper Walsh Stadium. 

  • Immaculata won their last meeting at Lancaster Bible on September 16, 2022, 5-1. 

IMMACULATA NOTES 

  • Immaculata is coming off a hard fought 1-0 win on the road over Delaware Valley on Wednesday evening. 

  • The team's 3-1 start is the program's best start since 2016 when they won their first three games. 

  • Della George scored one goal (a game winner) and had three assists on the season. 

  • Goalkeeper Julia Levase is 3-1 on the season with two shutouts. Levase has started 33 consecutive games for the Mighty Macs going back to the 2022 season. 

  • Rachel Madden had a defensive save for Immaculata against Delaware Valley 

SCOUTING LANCASTER BIBLE 

  • Lancaster Bible has started their season 1-3. Their win was over Eastern Mennonite 7-0, and their losses were to Houghton, Neumann, and Goucher. 

  • Senior forward Molly Gray leads the Chargers with two goals. 

  • Senior midfielder Alexis Gilbert scored one goal. 

  • Sophomore midfielder Riley Danko had one assist. 

  • Junior goalkeeper Amanda Hoover has played all four games for the Chargers making 39 saves. She has a 2.00 goals-against average, a 0.830 save percentage. 

UP NEXT 

  • Immaculata will return home on Saturday, September 14th when they host Keystone College at Draper Walsh Stadium at 2:00 pm. Join the Field Hockey Team as the Macs Give Back to the B+ Foundation.
