IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata University women's tennis team (3-8, 0-3 Atlantic East) fell to Eastern University 5-4 on Wednesday afternoon at the IU Tennis Courts. 

Before the match, the Mighty Macs honored their two seniors, Audrey Keen (Collegeville, Pa. / Gwynedd Mercy Academy), and Payton Conard (Philadelphia, Pa. / Little Flower) for their careers and dedication to the Immaculata women's tennis program. 

In doubles action, Pamela Kontaras and Delaney Brown won the first doubles match 8-1. Payton Conard and Carly Wetzel lost the second doubles match 1-8. Immaculata had to forfeit the third doubles match to give Eastern a 2-1 lead after doubles. 

In the singles action, Pamela Kontaras won the first singles match in straight sets 6-2, 6-0. Delaney Brown won second singles in straight sets 6-1, 6-1. Payton Conard won the third singles match 7-5, 1-6, 10-6. Carly Wetzel lost the fourth singles match 4-6, 5-7. Immaculata had to forfeit the fifth and sixth singles matches to give Eastern the win 5-4.

The Immaculata University women's tennis team finished the regular season in fourth place in the Atlantic East Conference and will advance to the Atlantic East Conference Tennis Championships at Neumann University. Immaculata will play #1 seed Marymount University in the Semifinals on Friday, April 26th at 4:00 PM at Neumann University.
