ASTON, Pa.- The Immaculata University women's tennis team fell to the #1 seed Marymount University in the Atlantic East Semifinals at Neumann University on Friday afternoon.
Pamela Kontaras and Delaney Brown lost the first doubles match 4-8 in doubles action. The loss snapped Kontaras and Brown's five match winning streak. Payton Conard and Marie Mavroudis lost the second doubles match 0-8. Immaculata had to forfeit the third doubles match due to an injury earlier in the week.
Delaney Brown lost the second singles match 1-6, 1-6, and Payton Conard lost the third singles match 1-6, 0-6. Pamela Kontaras was trailing in the first set 5-6 when the match was stopped since Marymount had clinched the match win 5-0. Before today's match, Kontaras had won three consecutive singles matches.
The Immaculata University women's tennis team has now concluded their season with an overall record of 3-9 and were 0-3 in Atlantic East conference play.
