Pilat Leads Macs to Program's First Ever Home Playoff Game

SCRANTON,Pa.- The Immaculata men's lacrosse team defeated Marywood to conclude their regular season by a score of 9-2.
 
In his first year at the helm, head Coach Will Pilat has led the team to the program's first ever home playoff game securing the four seed in the Atlantic East Conference tournament with their victory this evening.
 
Immaculata led from wire to wire in the contest with Bailey Manion and David Azzarano each leading the way with three goals for the Mighty Macs, Azzarano also added a pair of assists while Manion tallied one of his own. Ben Wesolowski found the back of the net twice, while dishing out an assist. Robbie Wishart rounded out the scoring for Immaculata while Joseph Biuso contributed with an assist.
 
Matthew Ludlow led the way defensively, making 15 saves to just two goals allowed. Aidan Lawrence caused three turnovers as the Mighty Macs collected 36 ground balls.

With his five points this evening, graduate student David Azzarano has set a new single season record for points in a season. 
 
The Immaculata men's lacrosse team will be the four seed in the Atlantic East tournament and will open the Atlantic East Conference tournament on Saturday, April 27th at 4:00 PM with their opponent to be determined.
