IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata University men's lacrosse team fell to Cabrini University 18-5 on Saturday afternoon at Draper Walsh Stadium.
Cabrini opened the scoring off the opening faceoff scoring 0:08 into the game. Cabrini would add a second goal to take an early 2-0 lead.
David Azzarano got Immaculata on the board with 5:51 remaining in the quarter to cut the Cabrini lead to 2-1.
Cabrini would add a pair of goals later in the quarter to lead 4-1 after the first quarter of play.
In the second quarter,
Nicholas DeFilippo scored with 9:04 remaining in the quarter on an assist from
David Azzarano.
In the third quarter,
David Azzarano scored Immaculata's third goal, and
Connor Teears scored late on an assist from
Bailey Manion.
Bailey Manion would add a goal in the fourth quarter for Immaculata.
Cabrini would go on to close out the game, winning 18-5.
David Azzarano led Immaculata with two goals and two assist.
Bailey Manion,
Nicholas DeFilippo, and
Connor Teears each had one goal.Â
Daniel Alvarez had five ground balls on the defensive end. Goalkeeper
Matthew Ludlow made 22 saves and added five ground balls for Immaculata.
