Manion Ties Program Record as Macs Roll Over Knights

ASTON,Pa.- The Immaculata men's lacrosse team picked up an Atlantic East Conference victory over Neumann by a score of 21-12 on the road this afternoon.
 
Immaculata led from wire to wire in the contest, with Ryan Gorman opening up the scoring just under five minutes into the game. David Azzarano connected with Joseph Biuso for a pair of consecutive goals to give the Mighty Macs a 3-0 lead. Azzarano would find the back of the net himself minutes later making it a 4-1 game. Bailey Manion and Ben Wesolowski added goals in the period to give the Macs a 6-3 lead after the first period.
 
The team would start to pull away in the second period with Connor Teears and Manion each scoring twice while Azzarano added another goal of his own to head into the halftime break with an 11-6 advantage.
 
Manion added four goals in the 3rd period, while Teears and Liam Frazier each added one to take a 17-8 lead into the final 15 minutes of play. In the fourth quarter. Azzarano led the way with two goals, while Teears and Manion each had one more of their own.
 
Bailey Manion tied a program record for goals in a single game with eight goals on the day, he would also add an assist to lead the team with nine points. Azzarano would also have nine points, by way of four goals and five assists. Connor Teears (4), Joseph Biuso (4), Ben Wesolowski (3), Nicholas DeFilippo, Liam Frazier and Ryan Gorman all added one point.
 
Matthew Ludlow picked up the win in goal with 17 saves on the day. The Macs as a team caused nine turnovers while picking up 26 groundballs.
 
The Immaculata men's lacrosse team is back in action on Saturday, April 20th when they host Cabrini for one final time at Draper Walsh Stadium beginning at 1:00 PM.
