Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Vlassopoulos Slams Home AEC Victory

IMMACULATA,Pa.- The Immaculata men's basketball team picked up a huge Atlantic East Conference victory over Marymount by a score of 84-73.

In a packed Alumnae Hall, the team would feed off the energy from the crowd and open the contest on a 10-2 run. The Saints would not go down without a fight, the game saw eight ties and fourteen lead changes throughout.

With 12:35 remaining in the second half, senior Gregory Vlassopoulos would have the entire gym on their feet, turning a Robbie Logan steal into a highlight reel performance with a posturizing finish on the fast break. This would be the exact momentum the Mighty Macs would need as they would lead for the remainder of the contest.

Dinero Washington would lead all scorers with a game high 23 points, while also having a game high four assists and three steals. The freshman guard would also pull in five rebounds. Vlassopoulos would lead the Macs with two triples on his way to an 11-point performance. Tyler Tillery would provide his eighth double-double of the season with a 11 point, 14 rebound showing. John Proctor was also in double figures for Immaculata with 10 points.

Logan and John Flood would both knock down crucial foul shots to keep the game out of reach, on their way to five and three points respectively.

The Immaculata men's basketball team moves to 4-4 in Atlantic East play and will be back in action on Wednesday, February 7th when they host Gwynedd Mercy in a 8:00 PM start at Alumnae Hall.
