Mandon Seapoe scored a game-high 19 points, and junior
Kevin Telesford scored a career-high 17 points to lead the Immaculata men's basketball team to a 76-69 win at Bryn Athyn on Monday night.
With the win, Immaculata improves to 2-5 overall on the season. Bryn Athyn falls to 2-5 overall and is 1-0 in United East play.
How it Happened
- Mandon Seapoe got Immaculata on the board scoring on a layup to cut Bryn Athyn's early lead to 3-2. Ryan Straub followed with a three-pointer to give Immaculata their first lead at 5-3 with 16:02 remaining in the first half. After a free throw from Dylan Crews, Seapoe would follow with a pair of layups to increase Immaculata's lead to 10-3.
- Ryan Straub hit a three pointer with 10:38 remaining in the half as Immaculata upped their lead to 16-8. When Bryn Athyn tied the game at 22-22 with 3:18 remaining in the first half, Idan Zuker hit a three-pointer to put Immaculata ahead 25-22. Dylan Crews hit a three-pointer in the final minute of the first half as Immaculata took a 28-26 lead into the halftime break.
- In the second half the teams traded baskets as the score was tied up eight times through the first eight minutes of the second half. Kevin Telesford hit a pair of free throws with 11:59 remaining in the second half to put Immaculata ahead 47-45. Over the next eight minutes, Telesford would hit four three-pointers and scoring all 17 of his points in that 8:18 stretch for the Mighty Macs.
