BRYN MAWR, Pa.- Reese Mullins scored 15 points, and
Abigail Boyer scored 13 points to lead four players in double figures as Immaculata defeated Rosemont, 86-37, in non-conference women's basketball action on Monday night at Rosemont.
Immaculata, who has now won five straight regular season games, improves to 6-1 overall. Rosemont falls to 0-8 overall and 0-1 in United East play.
How it Happened
- Abigail Boyer opened the scoring for Immaculata with a three-pointer on the first possession of the game. Carly Coleman followed with a lay-up. Reese Mullins and Olvia Ettorre each scored as Immaculata raced out to a 20-0 lead. Rosemont finally got on the board with a pair of free throws with 1:49 remaining in the first quarter. Immaculata would lead 26-7 after the first quarter of play.
- In the second quarter, Reese Mullins scored on a lay-up and hit a pair for free throws as Immaculata lead 30-11 with 6:57 remaining in the quarter. Reese Mullins ended up scoring all eight points for Immaculata in the second quarter as the Mighty Macs led 34-18 at halftime.
- In the third quarter, Tessa Lieberatoscioli scored on a fast break layup to get Immaculata started. Olivia Ettorre followed with a tip in, and a layup and Reese Mullins added a three-point play as Immaculata increased their lead to 43-20 with 6:35 remaining in the third quarter. Immaculata would get additional baskets from Abigail Boyer, Meg Robbins, Julia Pohl, and a three-pointer from Riley Cassidy as the Mighty Macs led 64-29 after three quarters of play.
- In the fourth quarter, Francesca Scarpone, Meg Robbins, Kaylia Rice, Riley Cassidy, Emma Wagner, Victoria Foster, and Julia Pohl all scored as Immaculata closed out the win 86-37.
