Women's Basketball Takes Down Delaware Valley, 74-61

IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata women's basketball team defeated Delaware Valley University 74-61 on Thursday afternoon at Alumnae Hall. Reese Mullins scored 19 points, Tessa Liberatoscioli scored 13 points, and Carly Coleman and Olivia Ettorre each scored 10 points to lead the Mighty Macs.

With the win, Immaculata improves to 9-3 on the season, and are 6-0 at Alumnae Hall. With the loss Delaware Valley falls to 2-8 in the season.

How it Happened
  • Olivia Ettorre got Immaculata on the board off an assist from Reese Mullins. Abigail Boyer hit a three-pointer, and Tessa Liberatoscioli hit a three pointer, and added a layup as Immaculata opened a 12-4 lead. Reese Mullins would add three baskets for Immaculata as the Mighty Macs led held a 23-22 lead after the first quarter.
  • Delaware Valley took an early 26-24 lead in the second quarter. Reese Mullins responded for the Mighty macs with a layup and a three pointer as Immaculata took a 31-26 lead. Riley Cassidy hit a three pointer, Tessa Liberatoscioli scored on a pair of layups, and Olivia Ettorre hit a jumper as Immaculata took 42-34 lead into the halftime break.
  • In the third quarter Reese Mullins and Carly Coleman scored on layups early as Immaculata extended their lead to 46-36. Olivia Ettorre would follow with a layup, and Carly Coleman and Tessa Liberatoscioli each hit a pair of free throws as Immaculata led 54-36 with 3:57 remaining in the quarter. Reese Mullins would add a pair of layups as Immaculata took a 62-44 lead into the fourth quarter.
  • In the fourth quarter, Carly Coleman, and Julia Pohl each scored a pair of baskets early in the quarter for Immaculata. Riley Cassidy would add a layup as Immaculata would go on to close out the win 74-61.
