Men's Basketball Falls to Elizabethtown 92-84 in Overtime on Monday Evening

IMMACULATA, Pa.- The Immaculata men's basketball team erased an 11-point deficit with six minutes remaining to force overtime vs Elizabethtown on Monday evening at Alumnae Hall. The Blue Jays would outscore Immaculata 14-6 in the overtime period to take the game 92-84.

Dylan Crews led the Mighty Macs with 20 points. Robbie Logan scored 16 points, and Mandon Seapoe scored 15 points.

With the loss Immaculata falls to 3-7. With the win Elizabethtown moves to 5-4 overall this season.

How it Happened
  • John Proctor scored to get Immaculata on the board early. Elizabethtown built a quick 11-4 lead, before Jalen Flowers cut the lead to 11-7 with a three pointer with 15:16 remaining in the first half. Flowers would follow with a second three pointer, and Robbie Logan hit a three pointer of his own to cut Elizabethtown's lead to 17-15.
  • With Immaculata trailing 29-23 with 9:03 remaining in the half, Robbie Logan hit another three pointer, and John Proctor followed with a three-point play to tie the game at 29-29.
  • Samuel Jankowski hit a three-pointer with 1:24 left in the half to pull Immaculata back to within one point at 39-38. Elizabethtown would finish the half on an 8-0 run to take a 45-38 lead into the halftime break.
  • In the second half Elizabethtown built their lead to 12 points early in the half. Robbie Logan hit a three pointer, and Dylan Crews scored on a layup and competed the three-point play at the free throw line to pull Immaculata back within eight with 15:39 remaining.
  • Trailing 71-60 with 6:01 remaining, Dylan Crews scored on a driving layup to start the Immaculata comeback. Mandon Seapoe followed with a layup, and Robbie Logan added a layup and completed the three-point play at the foul line to cut the Elizabethtown lead to 72-65.
  • Mandon Seapoe scored on consecutive layups, and Dylan Crews scored on a layup to put Immaculata up 77-76 with 1:47 to play in regulation. The teams would trade free throws back and forth, until the game was tied at 78-78 with 0:15 remaining. Dylan Crew's shot with 0:02 remaining in regulation did not fall, and the game went to overtime.
  • In overtime Elizabethtown opened a quick six-point lead at 84-78. Robbie Logan hit a pair of free throws, and Mandon Seapoe hit scored on a layup to pull Immaculata within two points at 84-82. Elizabethtown would outscore Immaculata 8-2 the rest of the way and take the win 92-84.
