Men's Tennis Travels to Stevenson for Match on Saturday

THE STORYLINE

The Immaculata men's tennis team (0-1) is back in action on Saturday afternoon when they visit Stevenson University at 1:00 pm. Immaculata enters Saturday's match after falling Lancaster Bible 6-1 in their last match on September 24^th.
Stevenson (0-2) enter Saturday's match having dropped their last match to Penn State Harrisburg 5-2 on September 14^th. Stevenson lost to Catholic 6-1 in their opener.

THE SERIES

Immaculata and Stevenson are meeting for the third time in their series in men's tennis that began in 2014.
Immaculata is 0-2 lifetime against Stevenson.

Nicholas Fleming lost his first match at first singles vs Lancaster Bible in a tiebreaker 1-6, 6-4, 5-10. Fleming and his doubles partner Patrick Arnold lost the first doubles match 1-6.
Patrick Arnold won his first collegiate match at second singles vs Lancaster Bible in straight sets 6-1, 6-3.
Matthew Sabat Jr. lost the third singles match vs LBC 2-6, 3-6. Sabat and his doubles partner Mike DeMattei lost the second doubles match 0-6.

SCOUTING STEVENSON

Luke Appleman is 0-2 on the season at first singles. He lost his match vs Catholic in a tiebreaker 2-6, 7-6 (7-0), 6-10. He and his doubles partner Simeon Smith lost the first doubles match vs Catholic 6-7.
Simeon Smith is 0-2 on the season playing at second and third singles. He lost the second singles match vs Catholic 3-6, 1-6.
Zane Honour is 2-0 playing second and third singles. He won the third singles match vs Catholic 6-3, 6-4. He lost the second doubles match vs Catholic with his partern Garrett Warren 4-6.
Garrett Waren is 0-2 this season at fourth singles. He lost at fourth singles vs Catholic 4-6, 4-6.

WEEKLY HONORS

Patrick Arnold was named Atlantic East Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week on Monday afternoon. Arnold won in his collegiate singles debut winning his singles match at second singles in straight sets 6-1, 6-3 in Immaculata's match vs Lancaster Bible on September 24th.

UP NEXT

The Immaculata men's tennis team will be back in action on Thursday, October 10^th when they host Ursinus College at 4:00 pm at the IU Tennis Courts.
